Upcoming reboot
Upcoming downtime on Wednesday (2010-06-09). We will be doing a kernel switch as well as doing some some maintenance work.
Downtime should not last more than 10 minutes if everything goes smoothly.
update: everything did not go quite as smoothly as expected but we are up again :)

You may have experienced some connectivity issues within the last 12 hours.
Initially this was caused by a routing problem. At around 00:50 EET, we started to get massive amounts of UDP traffic from one host (which is now believed to be a DoS).
We are monitoring the situation.

Downtime
We started to experience networking issues on yesterday evening. All attempts to fix it made the problem only worse thus ultimately resulting in a total connection loss to the server.
The problem was fixed at about 14:20 EEST and everything should work normally now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

MySQL now forces UTF-8
Our MySQL server will now force UTF-8 character set when connecting to it. If your account was made before 30.04.2009, you should execute /userscripts/sqlconvert in your SSH to switch the database to UTF-8 mode.
